Ingredients for Tarka Dal Recipes
- Lentils: 450 grams
- Water: 1 liter
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
- Onion: 1 (chopped)
- Garlic cloves: 3 (sliced)
- Cumin seeds (to garnish)
- Chilies: 2
Method of preparation for Tarka Dal Recipes:
Wash the lentils well to remove dirt and small stones from it. Take a large saucepan and combine water, lentils, onions, chilies, turmeric powder and garlic. Bring to a boil and place a lid and allow it to cook on low flame till the lentils become tender.(about 20 minutes). Then sprinkle cumin seeds and coriander leaves on it and serve hot.
