Ingredients for Pineapple baked beans recipes
- Bacon slices: 3 (chopped)
- Green onions: ¾ cup (sliced with tops)
- Garlic cloves: 3 (minced)
- Northern beans or navy beans: 2-1/4 lbs (drained and rinsed)
- Pineapple: ½ lb (crushed)
- Jalapeno pepper: ½ tsp (minced)
- Light brown sugar: ½ cup
- Apple or pineapple juice: 1 cup
- Dijon mustard: 2tbsp
- Pepper: ¼ tsp
Method of preparation for Pineapple baked beans recipes:
Fry bacon in small skillet until crisp. Dry them thoroughly. Take 1 tsp bacon fat and discard the remaining. Add onions and garlic to skillet and sauté until tender. Mix all ingredients in 1 quarter plus 2 cups casserole. Bake covered at 300 degrees F for 90 minutes. Then bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
