Ingredients for Makhani Dal Recipes
- Urad Dal: ½ cup
- Yellow moong dal: ¼ cup
- Masoor dal: ¼ cup
- Onion: 1 (Grated)
- Green chilies: 2 (sliced)
- Ginger: ¼ tsp (grated)
- Coriander: ½ tsp (finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
- Red chilly powder: ¼ tsp
- Butter: 3-4 tbsp
Method of preparation for Makhani Dal Recipes:
Mix and wash all the dals well. Soak them in water for 30 minutes. Cook them in a pressure cook till they become soft and tender (3 whistles). Mash the dal while it is hot.
Heat butter in a deep pan, add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Then add onion, ginger and green chilies. Stir till it becomes soft. Now add red chilies and salt and also add dal to it. Mix everything well. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-4 minutes and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
Serve hot with rice, roti etc.
