Ingredients for Cornmeal mush recipes
- Water: 4 cups
- Yellow cornmeal: 1 cup
- Salt: ΒΌ tsp
- Butter flavored vegetable cooking spray
- Maple flavored syrup (heated)
- Sweetener: 3 packets (sugar free)
Method of preparation for Cornmeal mush recipes:
Boil water in a saucepan. Gradually stir in cornmeal and salt. Reduce the heat and stir frequently until the liquid is thickened. Now stir in sweetener. Pour this mixture to a greased loaf pan. Cool to room temperature and chill until it becomes firm or overnight. Remove corn meal from the pan and cut into slices. Spray a large skillet with vegetable cooking spray, heat over medium heat until hot. Cook corn meal slices over medium-to-medium low heat. Until browned. (3-4 minutes on each side). Serve with maple-flavored syrup.
