Ingredients for Biscochitos Recipes
- brandy: 1/4 cup
- all-purpose flour: 6 cups
- white sugar: 1/4 cup
- salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- baking powder: 3 teaspoons
- shortening: 2 cups
- white sugar: 1 1/2 cups
- anise seed: 2 teaspoons
- eggs: 2
Method of preparation for Biscochitos Recipes:
Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Then cream shortening with sugar and anise seeds until fluffy and beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in flour and brandy until well blended. Turn dough out on a floured board and pat or roll to 1/4 or 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into shapes and dust with a mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Then bake at 10 – 12 minutes until golden brown.
