Ingredients for Arroz con Leche- A Mexican Rice Pudding Recipes
- whole milk: 3 cups
- condensed milk: 1 can sweetened
- vanilla: 2 teaspoons
- salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- cinnamon sticks:2
- raisins: 1/2 cup, soaked in warm water to soften
- rice: 1 cup, short or medium grain
Method of preparation for Arroz con Leche- A Mexican Rice Pudding Recipes:
Boil milk to a simmer and Stir in rice, add in cinnamon sticks and simmer until rice is softened, about 15-20 minutes. Then remove cinnamon sticks and stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a slight simmer and cook for an additional 20 minutes or until almost all of the liquid is absorbed and rice has a pudding-like consistency. Serve it hot topped with butter.
